SPH Magazines Unveils First Branding Drive (ST)

THE magazines division of Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) yesterday launched its first corporate branding campaign.

Aimed at creating a bold statement, it comprises a series of three advertisement-carrying headlines like 'Size does matter' and 'Less is not always more', in a reference to its stable of more than 100 titles.

The advertisements, with visuals shot by photographer Chan Wai Teik in China, project a 'modern, upmarket, arty' vibe, since most of the magazines are on fashion and lifestyle, said Ms Linda Leong, the division's executive creative director.

The magazines' key strengths are also captured in the tagline 'Inspire. Innovate. Intrigue.'

Mr Loh Yew Seng, the chief executive officer of SPH Magazines, said it was time to launch a campaign to reinforce SPH Magazines' position as the region's publisher of choice.

The campaign will last until March next year and run on SPH's print, online and outdoor platforms.
