SPH Ink Awards open for submissions (BT)
FOR print advertising firms, nothing beats having publicity for their ads, and the Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Ink Awards 2010 will give them just that.
The awards aim to honour the best print advertisements published in any of SPH's 17 newspaper titles.
To be eligible for the Ink Awards, entries must have appeared in any of the 17 SPH newspapers during the period of June 1, 2009 to May 31, 2010. The submission deadline is June 30, 2010.
There are six categories in this year's Ink Awards, namely: Print Single – English; Print Campaign – English; Print Single/Campaign – Chinese; Print Classified/ Recruitment/Notice; Print Creative Media Buy; and Integrated Campaign.
For the Integrated Campaign category, submitted campaigns must have appeared on at least one other SPH marketing platform on top of its newspapers.
These marketing platforms include its magazines, radio stations, and out-of-home and online media like Internet TV.
Winners of the awards will be announced at a gala event in August. The top entry of each category will win $3,000 in cash, and a complimentary full-page advertisement in either The Straits Times or Lianhe Zaobao.
In addition, the six top entries will also be eligible for the Grand Prix – where the winning entry will be awarded up to $16,000 worth of cash prizes.
The advertiser will also enjoy a complimentary full- page advertisement in either The Straits Times or Lianhe Zaobao.
Said Leslie Fong, senior executive vice-president of SPH's marketing division: "The awards give us the chance each year to recognise and celebrate the best of the best creative print ads – and recognise the advertisers and the creative talent behind them."
