SPH magazines pick up 10 awards (BT)
SPH Magazines has won 10 international awards for several of the titles it publishes. The magazine unit of Singapore Press Holdings picked up various awards for editorial and design excellence.
SilverKris, the travel magazine of Singapore Airlines, won a Grand Award for design and illustration at the 2009 APEX awards sponsored by US business publisher Communications Concepts Inc. The magazine also won a gold award for best feature/design and an honourable mention for best overall design at the Magnum Opus Awards organised by US-based McMurry Inc and the Missouri School of Journalism.
Pinnacle, a magazine catering to Rolls-Royce car owners and enthusiasts in the Asia-Pacific, won a silver award for best feature/design at the Magnum Opus Awards. It also won an award of excellence for a custom-published magazine at the APEX awards.
Millenia, the lifestyle magazine of the Pontiac Land Group, won two Magnum Opus awards – a gold for most improved editorial, and a silver for most improved design. It also received an award of excellence for most improved magazine at the APEX awards.
LATITUDE ONE°15, the lifestyle magazine for ONE°15 Marina Club, won an honourable mention for best use of photography at the Magnum Opus awards.
And BiZQ, the official publication of the Singapore Business Federation, received an honourable mention for front-cover digital imagery at this year's Tabbie Awards held by the US-based Trade, Association and Business Publications International organisation.
