Marketing mag now bigger with sharper layout

Advine now has more substantial content regarding industry trends.

INDUSTRY-SPECIFIC: Advine now has more substantial content regarding industry trends, says Mr Lee.

ADVINE, a magazine focusing on the marketing industry, has undergone a striking revamp starting with its latest issue.

The publication, which is produced by the marketing division at Singapore Press Holdings (SPH), is twice its previous size and has a sharper layout.

Mr Lee Kim Chew, the head of Special Projects in SPH's Marketing Division, took charge of the makeover, which kicked in last month.

He said the new-look publication boasts 'more substantial content regarding industry trends and developments, business updates, plus interesting and newsy stories about advertising and marketing'.

The back page is also now devoted entirely to advertising statistics of SPH's papers and websites. These include figures for online page views and readership of publications.

Previously, only circulation figures were included and these were not as prominently displayed. Yet they have long been a popular feature as they give the marketing industry an up-to-date reference on SPH products, said Mr Lee.

The extra prominence will showcase the extent of the reach of SPH publications for agencies and potential advertisers.

Feedback from readers showed that they wanted greater detail on such statistics.

'Some of the companies who received our magazine used to just tear out the circulation figures and post it up,' said Mr Lee.
