SPH Magazines clinches 7 prizes

THREE Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) magazines - SilverKris, Latitude One Degree 15 and BiZQ - have bagged seven international awards for editorial and creative excellence.


BIG WIN: SilverKris bags three awards in all.

SilverKris, Singapore Airlines' travel magazine, picked up an honourable mention for best feature design at the Magnum Opus Awards, established industry accolades for custom publishing.

Latitude One Degree 15, the magazine of Sentosa Cove's marina club, clinched a bronze for best use of colour photography.

At the Apex Awards for publication excellence, SPH Magazines picked up three prizes.

SilverKris won a grand award for design and illustration and an award for excellence in feature writing.

Latitude One Degree 15 was honoured in the design and illustration (photography) category.

BiZQ, or Business Quotient, entered the winner's circle at the Tabbie Awards, which recognise editorial and design excellence in trade and business publications around the world.

It won gold for best front cover design and digital imagery, while also earning an honourable mention for the best single issue.

'The team is ecstatic. We were competing in the international publishing arena and to be honoured with seven awards brings immense satisfaction and a huge boost to creative energy,' said SPH Magazines' associate group editor for custom publishing, Ms Joanna Lee-Miller.

This is the first time the three titles have won in these competitions, said an SPH Magazines spokesman.
