SINGAPORE Press Holdings' new-media titles are a big hit.

Hitwise Rankings, a respected online company that tracks Internet traffic on more than 800,000 websites worldwide, said SPH's lifestyle portals grabbed the most eyeballs from October to December last year.

AsiaOne's SoShiok.com whetted foodies' appetites and became the top food-and-beverage lifestyle website in Singapore. It has topped the list since its launch last May.

Meanwhile, AsiaOne Health ruled the roost in the health-and-medical section. Editor Adrian Tay said: 'In today's wired world, readers can go anywhere online...(so) having them come back for more is something we constantly work at.'

E-marketplace ST701 was another clear winner in the classified-advertisements category.

SPH's executive vice-president of marketing, Ms Elsie Chua, said: 'We are happy to have served the online community by helping people find the right job, property, car or other products and services.'

Citizen-journalism site Stomp was runner-up in the blogs and personal-websites section.

Chinese daily zaobao.com was tops in the print-media category while mypaper.sg came in third.
