AN online marketing unit of SPH Magazines has become the first company in Singapore and South-east Asia to be accepted by Google as a Google Analytics Authorised Consultant (GAAC).

The unit, clickTRUE, specialises in services to help clients achieve optimum investment returns from their advertisement campaigns on search engines such as Google. Its services include online media planning, search engine marketing and optimisation, web analytics consultancy and landing page optimisation. SPH Magazines itself is a subsidiary of media group Singapore Press Holdings.

clickTrue will now provide Google Analytics support and consultancy services to help companies in Singapore and South-east Asia measure the level of activity of their websites and optimise their online marketing campaigns.

Google Analytics is a free, next-generation web analytics tool that shows businesses and marketers how visitors find their websites, how they navigate through them and how they become customers. These are important information that will help them strengthen their online presence.

With this prestigious badge from the search engine giant, clickTRUE hopes to benefit from new consulting revenue streams in the future, said clickTRUE chief operating officer Jereme Wong.

The company has already benefited. Since attaining accreditation from Google, sales enquires for its services have more than doubled.

Besides certifying consulting companies, Google has also started to certify individuals in Singapore. In conjunction with its first Google Analytics event here yesterday, Google launched its Google Analytics Individual Qualification (IQ) programme, which offers a free online course that covers web analytics techniques and Google Analytics implementation and administration.

This programme will help individuals improve their job prospects and further their personal development, according to Google.
